Whether taking notes in class or gathering web research, students with learning differences often struggle with effectively capturing and organizing information from a variety of sources. This
hands-on, beginner-level session will focus on two apps that address these challenges. With Notability, students can handwrite or type notes, sketch, take pictures,
annotate PDFs, and
record audio that automatically links to the notes. Evernote is an online
“digital filing cabinet” to help students both capture and organize many types of information from a wide variety of sources.
Prior to the session, participants will need to purchase and install
Notability, and also sign up for a free
Evernote account and download the
Evernote app.

four-session series that will cover a wide range of iPad features, apps, and associated strategies to assist students who learn differently. Attend only one session or the entire track. We strongly recommend that participants download and install certain apps in advance (most are free) and have iPads running iOS 8.x or 9.x.
